Track Engine

Plan with the Carrera track pieces you own

Enter your actual stock and compare it with the parts list before building. You can then see which pieces are missing and which remain unused.

Count the pieces you can actually use

Sort your pieces by track system and variant. Two similar-looking curves or pit entries are not necessarily interchangeable. Compare the part number and preview with the physical piece when you are unsure.

The inventory is information you enter, not an automatic stock check. Include only pieces that are available for this build. A part being used on another permanent track may not be available for your new layout.

    Read the inventory colours correctly

Green means you have planned fewer of that piece than you own. Yellow means you have used exactly your entire stock of that piece; none remain unused. Red means the layout needs more than you own.

These colours describe quantities. They do not prove that the track is closed. Check the track status separately before treating the layout as ready to build.

      Resolve shortages before shopping

Use the current layout’s parts list to compare stock, used pieces and remaining quantities. A combined part can insert several individual pieces, so count the finished layout rather than your clicks.

      1. Start with the red inventory entries.
      2. Compare the required direction and variant with your physical pieces.
      3. Adjust the layout or record the exact missing pieces.
      4. Check the inventory and track status again.

      Keep a useful build list

Export the parts list as CSV or PDF after saving the version you intend to build. An older export may belong to a layout you have since changed.

You are ready when the required quantities match your available stock, or every missing piece is clearly identified. This avoids buying a similar variant that does not solve the actual shortage.

Can a yellow inventory entry belong to an open track?

Yes. Yellow describes the quantity used for that part. Track closure is a separate check.
